Warm, soothing melodies and lavish soundscapes permeate the Ambient Techno of Tokyo's Hiroki Tee.
This is music to be played in the desert at 6:00 A.M., or sitting at home in the dark late at night.
Hiroki, a former club DJ in Tokyo from 1994 to 1998, has produced a blissful, extravagant journey that
relies on simplicity to get its message of happiness and love across to the listener. But don't misunderstand
-- this isn't hippie music, but rather gentle, synth-heavy music that's calming to the soul.
Thank God Hiroki didn't lapse into new age cheesiness, which is easy to do in this genre.
Even his earlier House tracks contain a level of peace and understated funk. Climb into the rocket
ship in your head, plug yourself in, and enjoy the ride into the outer reaches of the universe.
